GREENER E.P
Released in 2025 - ‘Greener’ marks Jacob Greens first completed project.
In the spring of 2024, I embarked on a journey to create my first complete body of work. Nine songs and 100 instrumentals later, the original concept of “The grass is always greener” ultimately became “GREENER”.

‘You’
Intro to the EP: This track carries a major underlying theme that can be found throughout the whole project: identity.
This song was born out of a slight identity crisis I had during the creation of the EP. I found myself longing to be… myself. But through years of putting up a facade and playing a character to try and please those around me, I lost touch with who I really was.
The music video for ‘YOU’ was shot in two different locations, Orlando, FL and Queens, NY. I didn't realize it at first, but performing the song in two completely different places felt parallel to the theme of changing one's identity for the sake of fitting in. The hustling streets of New York represented the artist facade within me, while the nature of Orlando represented freedom from performing for the world.
‘Name ‘ya Price’
Name Ya Price is a statement piece, covering concepts of greed, glory and how one's dream can be skewed by both. As a young man, I've focused far too much of my time on making a name for myself, which comes with a price - a price you must consider if you're willing to pay.
‘u-side’
U SIDE, touches on feelings of unrequited love and misunderstanding, prompting a conversation-like writing style between me and another individual.
‘M.I.A’
MIA.FASHOW speaks on the importance of one's dream and how the world constantly tries to tear that dream down. The song takes a somber turn as it transitions from a place of internal conviction to weary reflection.
‘BYSTANDER’
A look into the difficult truths of depression, self harm and how it affects those involved. This song was created to capture the feeling of being a helpless bystander, sonically. We planned to shoot a music video, but we ended up deciding that the message of the song spoke for itself.
