Inspired by my own struggles with accepting change and being obedient to God, ‘Reflection’ explores the impact of these struggles on my day-to-day life.

The contrast of slow piano chords with upbeat UK-Garage drums serves to be a sonic emulation of the futile urgencies of life.

The weight of these struggles taught me to embrace slowing down to ultimately spend time in prayer, reflection, and the absorption of Scripture. The dismissal of these fundamental practices brought me nothing but pain - something I feel like many may be able to relate to, but should not feel alone in.

Written, produced and mixed over a period of 5 months, the only way I was able to complete this song was to grow with it - and that took something I had been scared of doing for a long time.

I had to face my own reflection.
